Stamps of Sarawak
Sarawak is situated on the north coast of the island of Borneo. It was formerly an independent state under British
protection. Stamps were first issued in 1869. Sarawak was under Japanese occupation between 1941 and 1945, following which it
became a Crown Colony until 1963 when it became a state of Malaysia.
